Like my previous post on the Kansas First District Congressional primary, this too was a tough decision. Both Congressmen Tiahrt and Moran are personally known to me and I have the utmost respect for both men. They are both decent men and come with good conservative credentials to the GOP primary for the Senate seat vacated by Senator Sam Brownback. At different times, both Tiahrt and Moran have been my Congressmen.
The difference is Ronald Reagan, as is only natural in a blog named after our 40th president. Congressman Jerry Moran better reflects that astounding blend of solid principles, rabid optimism, and faith with humanity that embodied the life and politics of Ronald Wilson Reagan. Mr. Moran’s conservatism is born of his simple beliefs in the goodness of man and Benevolence of the Creator. His congressional staff, some of whom I have had the pleasure of contacting on various issues, is made of caring and competent people who are second to none amongst their peers in the entire Kansas Congressional delegation.
It is thus without hesitation that KsReaganite wholeheartedly recommends Jerry Moran to be the Republican nominee for the United States Senate from Kansas. This is a good man and the Reagan Republican in the race. He will be the ideal successor to Sam Brownback who epitomized Reaganism in the Senate and who I had the privilege of campaigning for.
