The problem with John McCain is that he instinctively assumes that all men and women are honorable like he he is. They are not. Specially the mouth foaming radicals amongst the liberals who, in 2008, see their first and only opportunity to elect one of them as the leader of an essentially conservative country.
All McCain has to do is to observe how the lefty bloggers and their supplicants in the mainstream media have scurrilously attacked Governor Palin and now her underage daughter with such savagery. Don't get me wrong..I think the families of candidates are fair game for scrutiny...but underage children?? Heck no! Never mind underage children, McCain didn't even go after the forty something lobbyist son of Joe Biden who has been milking consumers two million bucks a year on behalf of credit card companies. The essential difference in the class and character of the two tickets.
Now, they raise fingers are Bristol Palin, the expectant seventeen year old daughter of the Alaska governor. She is a child for goodness sake who made a horrible mistake. But unlike many, many, adults on the liberal side, she is owning up to her mistake and fixing things. You won't be seeing Bristol Palin coming down to my homicidal neighbor George Tiller to help kill her child and you won't be seeing her her go around touting her 'choice' of being an unwed teen mother. What you'll see is het getting married to the father of her kid next year and, hopefully, live a happy and productve life.
The left uses the struggles of a seventeen year old to score public policy points by mocking the Alaska governor's principled stance on Planned Parenthood. Is that what liberalism is reduced to now? Use a child as a crutch to help your big money donors through taxpayer money? Well, if I read Sarah Palin right, chances are she will continue to stand firm and say no to the skullguggery of the Planned Parenthood syndicate. I suspect she will keep vetoing every bill that provides one red cent of taxpayer money to an organization whose activities are deeply offensive to the religious beliefs of more than half of America, not to mention an organization which aids and abets the the statutory rape of young girls.
The Obama/Biden/Planned Parenthood ticket should pick on someone its own size....not a seventeen year old kid.
